Dear Members,

Bromsgrove Sporting are now well into their second season and Bromsgrove Sporting Supporters Society are playing an active role in supporting the club. To date the society has contributed over £16,000 to the club and we continue to raise funds to support and grow football in Bromsgrove.

On the football front, following a mixed start to the season there has been a recent improvement in form which has seen the first team rise to 5th in the league, I’m sure you will join us in wishing Stewart and his team good luck for the rest of the season.

As well as the first team the club also runs a reserve and a number of youth teams, the reserves currently sit 5th in their league and the youth team lie mid table following their promotion last year, both teams play entertaining football and are well worth a watch.

The society has held a number of events this year to raise funds, a very successful Black Country evening was held and enjoyed by all who attended, stalls were held at both the Bromsgrove Carnival and Elizabethan Market. As well as these events the Society run a stall at all first team home games, come and join us and have a go on the football card.

Bill Kings

It is with great regret that we saw the passing of a stalwart of Bromsgrove Rovers, Bill Kings. As you would expect his funeral was attended by a huge number of people looking to pay their respects and was a celebration of Bill’s life. The wake held at the Victoria Ground saw many heart warming stories of Bill shared. Bills contribution to Bromsgrove will never be forgotten.

Representing You

The Society has three seats on the Bromsgrove Sporting board and are there to represent the interests of you, the clubs supporters. If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions please feel free to approach any member of the supporters society board who will be happy to raise on your behalf.

Membership

Those eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed that your membership cards expired in August 2011, it has been decided that these memberships will be extended until August 2012 with no extra cost to you, although of course donations are always welcome!

Helping your Club

Running any non-league football club takes a huge amount of effort and time, Bromsgrove Sporting is no different. Members of the Supporters Society help the club in a number of roles, including helping with the upkeep of the ground, getting advertisers for the programme and pitch side boards, providing refreshments during and after games and working behind the Rouslers Bar.

The club is always on the look out for more volunteers to help at the Victoria Ground, particularly for reserve and youth

fixtures, if anyone has a few hours to spare and would like to get involved please contact a member of the club or society
